The Women’s Business Enterprise Council South (WBEC South) awarded ESS CEO Sheila Benson with a scholarship to the prestigious Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Energy Executive Program that will be held November 5-10 in Robert, LA.
“It is an honor for our CEO to have been chosen for the WBENC Energy [Executive] Program and an even greater honor for her to be awarded the WBEC South Scholarship for the program. The WBENC Energy Executive Program is a weeklong, immersive executive education program with topics based in the energy, oil and gas industry to drive the development of Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) leaders within the energy industry supply chain. This program will focus on increasing the competitive advantage, capabilities and strategy development of each WBE. The intensive curriculum for this program will include key topics in business strategy, marketing, finance, leadership, and introduction to energy as well as an immersive half-day facility tour with hands-on exercises and real-life simulations of oilrig and process operations. All executive topics will be based on how they relate to the energy industry.
