At ESS, we have many reasons for staying up to date on the latest technology for our industry. It’s a big part of what I do every day because one of my biggest pet peeves is inefficiency. Technology is one of the best ways to help make us more efficient.
We try to be as efficient as possible in order to keep our head count down, keep costs down and improve how quickly and accurately we can get information back to our clients. At ESS, we want to make sure the technology is as user-friendly as possible for our customers, so they can find, update and order what they need more easily using our website.
Internally, ESS is constantly adding new platforms to improve efficiency and make things better for our internal staff as well.
One big thing that’s huge in our market right now is applicant tracking systems (ATS). This has been growing for the last several years and will continue to grow. This integrated technology allows clients to work with us while continuing to use their own systems, like PeopleSoft or Taleo.
As they get to the background screening stage of the hiring process, this technology allows us to seamlessly process a background check. ESS is integrated on the backend, so we get the information, process it as we normally do, then send it back into their integration making it so that they never have to leave their own platform.
Currently, we have 12 to 15 similar integrations with leading ATS companies in the market today, and that number continues to grow. This allows for greater efficiency since clients don’t have to leave their system, and helps us build protection around their account, which are two things that are very important to us.
